The questions we are asked most often about the EAs, trading accounts and installation.
Do WinFex EAs open the first trade by themselves?
The basket managers (TraderTool, AutoBot) manage rather than signal — the first leg comes from the board buttons, a trade copier, or another signal EA. Once a position exists, the EA adopts it and manages it by your rules.
What kind of account do I need?
A hedging account. The strategy holds several legs on the same symbol and direction; a netting account merges them into a single position and the basket rules stop working.
Do I have to leave my computer running?
An EA only runs while MetaTrader is open and the chart receives ticks. For continuous management, run it on a VPS that stays online.
Why does the multi-pair board show grey cells?
MetaTrader has not finished synchronising that pair's history — it is not an EA fault. Run Preload once on a new install, then reopen the board.
Do they work on MetaTrader 4?
Our older tools were built on MT4 and still run, but current development is on MetaTrader 5. New users should start on MT5; the MT4 builds are listed under "legacy" on the download page.
Is any profit guaranteed?
No. Trading FX/CFDs carries a high level of risk and can cost you all of your invested capital. Our tools manage orders and present information; they guarantee nothing. Past or backtested results do not indicate future performance.
Can I try before using real money?
You should always start on a demo account, test through quiet and volatile sessions, and use TrainerTool in the Strategy Tester to understand basket behaviour first.
Which brokers are supported?
Any broker offering MetaTrader 5 with hedging accounts. Check the spread, commission, minimum lot and stop level before you configure anything.
