Preload

Multi-symbol boards read D1 and W1 series for symbols other than their own chart, and MetaTrader serves none of it until the symbol is synchronised — so on a fresh install the board sits half-grey for a long time. Preload pulls the history those boards need in one pass, shows its progress on the chart, and places no orders at all.

What it does

• Downloads the D1 and W1 history for the 28 pairs the boards use
• Shows a progress panel on the chart and, when it finishes, says plainly whether all 28 pairs loaded or how many failed
• Resumes after an interruption by asking the terminal what it actually holds
• Places no orders and never touches your positions or balance

How it works

1. Attach it to a forex chart

   Use a standard six-letter forex pair of that broker, such as EURUSD — Preload reads the broker's symbol suffix from this chart.

2. Wait until the panel says it is done

   ALL 28 PAIRS READY in green means complete — remove it. If it reads n OF 28 PAIRS READY · m FAILED in orange, check the Experts tab for what is missing and why, then attach Preload again; it retries only what is missing (a pair your broker does not offer will never load).

3. Remove it

   Then detach the EA and open the board you actually want. The downloaded history stays on the machine.

Who it suits

• Anyone on a fresh MetaTrader 5 install, a new broker or a new account
• Anyone whose board keeps showing grey cells

What to watch out for

• A data-preparation utility — it has nothing to do with trading results.
• Speed depends on your broker's server and your internet connection.
