Order-basket managers
TraderTool
Five-slot basket manager on a single board
- MetaTrader 5 v2.0.5 Released
- MetaTrader 4 v1.7.2 Legacy
The on-chart board
TraderTool takes over the positions already open on your account, groups them by symbol and direction into up to five baskets, and manages each one by the rules you set — averaging in when price moves against the basket by a set distance, computing the volume-weighted average entry, and writing one shared take-profit onto every leg. It alerts you when drawdown reaches your threshold.
What it does
- Adopts the positions already open on the account, ignoring magic numbers
- Averages in as a GRID or a MARTINGALE once price sits a set number of points away from the basket's outermost leg
- Computes the volume-weighted average entry and writes one shared TP onto every leg, tightening the target as the basket deepens
- Account-equity stop loss (set as a percentage) plus an optional close-by-time rule
- Drawdown alerts through MetaTrader push notifications
- BUY / SELL / close-all buttons on the board, with a Bangkok clock that stays correct on any server
- Three board sizes (SM / MD / LG), remembered per chart
How it works
-
The first trade is yours
TraderTool is not a signal generator — the first leg comes from the board buttons, a trade copier, or another signal EA.
-
Slotted
Every distinct (symbol, direction) pair is adopted into one of five slots and treated as a single basket.
-
Averaging by distance
When price moves against the basket by the configured distance, the EA adds a leg in the same direction, sized by the chosen strategy.
-
One shared TP
Whenever the leg count changes, the average entry is recomputed and the same TP value is written to every leg.
-
Closing out
A basket closes at its shared TP, on the time rule, or when you close it by hand.
Who it suits
- Traders running several pairs at once who want every basket on one screen
- Traders whose entries come from elsewhere (a copier, a signal EA) and who want a manager with explicit rules
- Traders who understand averaging-in and accept the risk that comes with it
What to watch out for
- Requires a hedging account — the strategy holds several legs on the same symbol and direction.
- Its exit routines close every position on the account, including trades it never opened — do not run it alongside another strategy on the same account.
- Averaging in grows the exposure with every leg; size the lots and the stop loss against your capital.
- Always test on a demo account, through every condition you expect, before going live.
Questions about TraderTool
Does it open the first trade for me?
No. TraderTool manages, it does not signal. The first leg comes from the board buttons, a copier, or another signal EA.
Can I run it on a netting account?
Not recommended. The strategy needs several legs on the same symbol and direction; a netting account merges them into one position and the basket rules stop making sense.
Do I have to leave my computer on?
An EA only runs while MetaTrader is open and the chart is receiving ticks. For continuous basket management, run it on a VPS.
