TrainerTool

TrainerTool lets you open the legs yourself and watch how a grid behaves — separate BUY and SELL baskets, average price, the price the shared TP sits at, leg count and total lots, all live on the board. It is the cheap way to understand averaging-in on historical data before real money.

What it does

• BUY / SELL / CLOSE buttons plus lot steppers on the board
• Set the grid step, the lot multiplier, the take-profit distance from the average, and the maximum legs per direction
• Separate BUY and SELL basket readouts — legs, total lots, average price, TP price, floating P/L
• Optionally manages hand-opened trades too, whatever their magic number
• Logs every button press to the Experts tab so you can review the session

How it works

1. Open the Strategy Tester

   Pick a symbol and a date range, then run in Visual mode.

2. Open legs by hand

   Use the BUY or SELL button on the board; adjust size with − / +.

3. Watch the basket grow

   Each time price moves a grid step against you, add a leg and watch the average and the TP price move.

4. Review

   Close the basket with CLOSE, then read the session back in the Experts tab.

Who it suits

• Anyone learning how a grid / averaging system actually behaves
• Anyone who wants to try parameters before taking them to a live basket manager
• Teachers who need to demonstrate basket behaviour visually

What to watch out for

• It is a practice tool, not an automated system.
• Tester results are not live results — spread, slippage and gaps all differ.
• Visual mode changes some EA behaviour compared with a live chart.
